Friendly Door of Iowa Park

… Linda and her husband have been members of the Friendly Door for many years. Almost since day one, Linda has been involved in the programs of the Friendly Door. She delivers Meals on Wheels weekly and is always willing to fill in when needed. She is an active member of the board, and she has proven to be even more valuable as a leader and advisor to the board. Being a retired nurse, she is the go to person for the congregation when there are questions about medications, diagnosis, and almost anything related to medical issues. Most recently she became the leader of the craft class and loves it. She will drive all over hunting down the best deal on craft supplies for projects after finding them on the internet. Pinterest is her favorite and she loves to send pictures for everyone’s approval for the next project. She is a true asset, a great friend and one of the best members an organization could ask for.

The Friendly Door provides multiple services and many fellowship opportunities in a faith based atmosphere that allow seniors an excellent way to stay active and involved in their community. Our mission is to make a difference in the fight to end senior hunger by making sure no senior goes hungry in the Iowa Park Community. Every aspect of the center is designed to insure our clients remain independent longer with the best quality of life possible.
