Friendly Door of Iowa Park
… Jan joined The Friendly Door after her husband Glen passed away. Very quickly it became an important part of her life as she found herself with an illness that prevented her from driving. The Friendly Door Van Service provided transportation to important appointments as well as rehab. As soon as she was able to drive, Jan began delivering Meals on Wheels even though she needed the assistance of a walker while she was healing. Jan also enjoys many of the activities provided at the center like daily lunch with friends, Bingo twice a week, doing crafts, and continuing to deliver meals. She is a valuable asset as she is always eager to be part of everything going on at the center. Most recently she joined the Board of Directors and enjoys being involved in the operations of the organization. Jan also is very involved in her church; Faith Baptist Church and their Clothes Closet and The Ark in Iowa Park. In her spare time, she loves game/movie nights with her grandchildren and cooking and sharing with several friends in her apartment complex. She is a blessing to The Friendly Door as well as the Iowa Park Community and a friend to all.
